Getting around the Dilly

Wollondilly is conveniently located at the foothills of the Southern Highlands and Blue Mountains. The region is a mere 50 minute drive from Sydney City, 40 minutes from Wollongong and 30 minutes from Western Sydney. Getting around the Dilly’s 2560 square kilometres is easiest by car however there are public bus and train services available throughout the region.

Travelling by Car

The Dilly is home to 35 beautifully unique towns and villages. Travelling by car is the easiest and most flexible mode of transport for getting around. Finding a park is generally easy across the region and roads are truly reflective of a typical country town with far less traffic than the Dilly’s city counterparts. For those visiting or without a personal vehicle there are shuttle, taxi and Uber services available

Routes marked on the public timetable will generally be serviced by a fully wheelchair accessible bus. Periodic maintenance may affect availability, please check with Picton Bus Lines prior to your journey.
 

Travelling by Train

There are a number of train stations across Wollondilly located at Picton, Tahmoor, Bargo, Menangle and Douglas Park. NSW Train services are an easy way to travel to the city, airport and beyond with many connecting lines to choose from.

EV Charger

Electronic Vehicle Charger in Picton Car Park

If you’re travelling down the Hume or Picton Road and your electric car is in need of a little top up visitors can pull into Picton to charge.

Wollondilly has an NRMA Electronic Vehicle Charger located at 5 Walton Lane in Picton. The charger is free to use for both NRMA members and non-members and takes around 30 minutes to achieve an average of an 80% charge.
