Australia's Source of Energy

Wollondilly is home to two major mining companies, The Simec Group and South 32. They are both leading employers in the region (14.1% of the workforce) and operations have a tremendous impact on the local economy, accounting for over 50% of the regions exports.

Coal is currently a major source of energy within Australia and the need to transport to other areas, nationally and internationally, is facilitated by Picton Road enabling transport to Port Kembla and Sydney.
