Land Use in Wollondilly

Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) are legal documents which guide planning decisions on development and land use within local government areas. They do this through zoning and development controls, which set out what development can and cannot be undertaken on land. All land in Wollondilly is subject to the controls set out in the Wollondilly LEP.

The Wollondilly LEP sets out things like; the land use zone, what type of land uses are permissible, whether land can be subdivided, identifies and protects heritage conservation areas and listed buildings/items, identifies environmentally sensitive land.

The Wollondilly LEP is supported by the Wollondilly Development Control Plan which provides more detailed standards and controls for specific types of development.
